MeterZone Privacy Policy

Overview

MeterZone is a casual mobile game. We designed it to work without accounts and to keep data collection to a minimum.

Data stored on your device

The app saves game progress locally on your phone — high scores, daily challenge results, settings (such as sound and haptics), and unlocked skins. This information stays on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage) and is not sent to our servers.

Data we do not collect

• No account registration or login
• No personal profile data
• No location tracking
• No advertising identifiers managed by us

Sharing scores

If you choose to share a score image, your device’s standard share sheet is used. We do not receive the shared content.

Third-party services

When distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms may collect data according to their own policies. Please refer to Apple and Google privacy documentation for details about store-level analytics and crash reporting they may provide.

Website analytics

On meterzone.net, we count page views and clicks to the App Store using daily aggregate counters in a Cloudflare-hosted database. The counters are grouped by page path, button position (for download clicks), a broad traffic-source category, and a device category such as mobile or desktop. These counts help us improve the website; they do not tell us whether you installed the app.

This measurement uses no cookies, browser storage, or persistent visitor identifiers. We do not store IP addresses, full browser user-agent strings, full referrer URLs, or URL query strings in our analytics database. To limit forged submissions, the endpoint derives a one-way rate-limit key from Cloudflare’s client IP and removes inactive keys after a short window; the raw IP is never stored. Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded. Cloudflare processes requests as our hosting provider.

Children

MeterZone is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
